1. Overview
This policy describes how Affiliate.Wiki (“Affiliate.Wiki,” “we,” or “us”) collects, uses, and shares personal information when you visit , subscribe to our newsletters, submit an offer or tool, or contact us. It applies to personal information we control as a data controller.
2. The data we collect
Information you give us
- Newsletter signups — email address, and any preferences you set (which newsletters, cadence).
- Offer / tool submissions — contact name, work email, company, listing details, and anything you write in free-form fields.
- Advertising inquiries — contact details, company, target verticals, budget range, and campaign notes.
- Contact messages — everything you include in a message to us.
Information collected automatically
- Server logs: IP address, user agent, referrer, pages visited, timestamps. Retained for up to 30 days for security and abuse detection.
- Privacy-first analytics events (aggregated, without cross-site identifiers): page views, sessions, clicks on outbound offer links, search terms entered into our on-site search.
- Email engagement if you’re a newsletter subscriber: opens and clicks, used to improve the content and remove addresses that have stopped engaging.
Information from third parties
- Networks and advertisers occasionally share aggregate conversion data for offers we promote — e.g. counts of registrations that originated from our referral. We don’t receive individual user identifiers from them.
- Payment processors (for advertisers) share billing contact details and payment status. We don’t store full card numbers on our systems.
3. How we use that data
- Run the Site. Serve pages, route search results, rate-limit abusive traffic, fix bugs.
- Send the newsletters you subscribed to, and occasional service emails about significant changes to the Site or the policies below.
- Review submissions and follow up with you about offer or tool listings.
- Improve editorial decisions. Aggregated click and search data tells us which offers and categories deserve more research depth.
- Detect fraud and spam — in submissions, fake reviews, and advertising applications.
- Comply with law and enforce our Terms of Service.
We do notsell personal information, we don’t share email addresses with advertisers, and we don’t use newsletter signups to train machine learning models.
4. Legal basis (EEA / UK / Swiss residents)
If you’re in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, we process your personal data on these GDPR lawful bases:
- Consent — newsletter subscriptions and non-essential cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time.
- Contract — replying to submissions, fulfilling advertising agreements, delivering the Site to you.
- Legitimate interests — keeping the Site secure, preventing fraud, measuring aggregate usage, protecting our legal rights. We balance these against your privacy before relying on them.
- Legal obligation — where we must retain or disclose data to comply with tax, accounting, or law-enforcement requirements.
7. International data transfers
Affiliate.Wiki is operated from the United States and uses Cloudflare edge infrastructure, which means your data may be processed in the US, the EU, the UK, or other regions. For transfers out of the EEA, UK, or Switzerland to countries without an adequacy decision, we rely on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses (and the UK International Data Transfer Addendum where applicable) as the transfer mechanism with our subprocessors.
8. How long we keep data
- Newsletter lists — until you unsubscribe, plus up to 24 months of inactivity after which we remove dormant addresses.
- Submission and contact records — up to 24 months from the last interaction, so we can resume conversations and detect repeat abuse.
- Advertising and billing records — up to 7 years, as required for tax and accounting.
- Server logs — up to 30 days.
- Aggregated analytics — indefinitely, because it no longer identifies individuals.
9. Your rights
Subject to local law, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Have inaccurate data corrected.
- Have your data deleted (“right to erasure”).
- Restrict or object to specific processing.
- Receive your data in a portable format.
- Withdraw consent, where processing is consent-based.
- Lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority — we’d appreciate the chance to fix the issue first, though.
To exercise any of these, email privacy@affiliate.wiki. We respond within 30 days (occasionally extended by up to 60 days for complex requests, with notice).
10. California residents (CCPA / CPRA)
California residents have additional rights: to know what personal information we’ve collected about them in the past 12 months, to delete that information, to correct inaccuracies, and to limit the use of sensitive personal information. We don’t sell personal information, and we don’t “share” it for cross-context behavioral advertising as defined in CPRA. To exercise California rights, email the address above.
Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
Under CPRA, California residents can direct us not to sell or share personal information. We don’t sell your data and we don’t share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. If our practices ever change, we’ll add an interactive opt-out here — and honor Global Privacy Control signals automatically in the meantime. Email privacy@affiliate.wiki if you want this request on file.
11. How we protect data
We use HTTPS everywhere, scoped access controls to admin tooling, encrypted backups, and logging to detect unusual access. No system is perfectly secure — if we discover a breach that affects you, we’ll notify you and applicable regulators within the timeframes required by law.
12. Children
Affiliate.Wiki isn’t directed at people under 18. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us data, email us and we’ll delete it.
13. Changes to this policy
We’ll update the “Last updated” date at the top whenever we revise this policy. For material changes we’ll post a notice on the Site or email newsletter subscribers before the change takes effect. Check back periodically.
